Wakefields 2024: A Year of Growth, Achievement, & Celebration

As we reflect on 2024, it's clear this has been a year of remarkable milestones, growth, and deepening connections. At Wakefields, our commitment to excellence and community has been at the forefront of everything we've achieved, and we have so much to celebrate!

In April, we welcomed 30 enthusiastic new recruits as part of our learnership programme. This initiative is designed to cultivate the next generation of property practitioners, and their energy has already made a significant impact. Our popular career evenings provided a glimpse into the exciting opportunities at Wakefields, sparking interest among future industry leaders.

Our glittering Annual Awards ceremony in May was a celebration of achievement, recognizing the outstanding contributions of our agents and staff.

Training has always been central to our success. This year, our Business Builder Bootcamp equipped agents with innovative strategies, and we returned to in-person training for the first time since COVID-a welcome step forward for all.

Wakefields continues to grow, with the opening of our vibrant new Salt Rock branch at the Sage Centre, opposite Mimosa's. This team combines local expertise with Wakefields' hallmark service, catering to all property needs in Salt Rock, Shaka's Rock, and Sheffield Beach. Alongside this expansion, our bank deals division has seen exponential growth, securing representation on all major bank panels-highlighting our commitment to delivering unparalleled support to buyers and sellers across KwaZulu-Natal.

September marked a major milestone-Wakefields turned 85! It was a celebration of legacy, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the KwaZulu-Natal community. We are incredibly proud of the trust and loyalty our clients and partners have placed in us for nearly nine decades.

In October, we clinched the coveted Daily News Readers' Choice Award for the 21st consecutive year, affirming our position as KZN's favourite real estate agency. Our marketing efforts reached new heights as we partnered with East Coast Radio for five Mega Showday weekends, showcasing hundreds of properties and connecting with countless buyers and sellers.

2024 also brought much-needed stability to the housing market, with two interest rate decreases sparking renewed activity. Record-breaking sales were achieved across several branches, a testament to the hard work of our agents and the resilience of the KZN property market.

The festive season brought us closer to our community. Through our Santa Letter Campaign and delivery of Hope Boxes to children of Project Bright, supported by Focus on iThemba, we spread joy and hope to those who need it most.
