WAKEFIELDS BLUFF WELCOMES A NEW MANAGER

Prishanth Singh is our new branch manager at Wakefields on the Bluff and he brings with him both experience and expertise: "I come from a banking background and I'm really happy to be using the skills I gained there."

Prishanth calls himself a Proudly Durban boy and has a real soft spot for the Bluff: "I've been fishing here for a long time - I love it and I'm not a bad fisherman! I go to Anstey's Beach and my wife works just down the road! I'm very familiar with the suburb."

Prishanth worked as a property consultant for ten years at Wakefields in Chatsworth where he lives, but he began his working life in a different arena: "I studied for a Bachelor of Commerce, specialising in economics and business management. The graduate programme I was on in the bank meant we moved from department to department, all geared towards experiencing every aspect of banking and finally, taking on a managerial role." Today, although he moved in another direction, he's grateful for that experience.

Prishanth thanks his wife (then, girlfriend) for his career switch: "She said, 'You really like people and you're service inclined, why don't you consider real estate?' It's not why he married her, he laughs, but he says, "From the moment I joined Wakefields it just wasn't like work. I had a passion for property. And I still do. There's something so amazing about guiding people into their first home, being part of that process - I loved the transaction."

For Prishanth it was important to become a professional real estate consultant: "It is a full-time profession and I see one of the aspects of my role as Bluff manager as supporting and aiding interns and consultants to achieve that qualification: "When I worked at Wakefields Chatsworth, I really enjoyed mentoring newcomers and I'm looking forward to doing the same here."

Prishanth has been up on the Wakefields annual podium numerous times so understands what it takes to succeed in this industry. He's achieved various sales bonuses and awards along the way, is a Premier Property Consultant, wrote his PDE (professional designated exams) and completed a commercial and industrial course in order to operate in both the residential and commercial spheres of the property industry.

Taking over a managerial role at the Bluff is a great moment for Prishanth and he couldn't be happier to lead this committed team: "The Bluff branch is an integral part of this community, as evidenced by their enthusiasm and involvement in numerous social projects. The branch has a great history of performing well and I believe there's still potential for growth and space for new sales consultants." He added, "My property, managerial, and mentoring skills come together in this new role and I'm so excited for the future."
