Walk out of your main bedroom with its en-suite bathroom and dressing room, onto a very spacious open patio above the double automated garage. The views of the surrounding hillsides is spectacular, and one forgets that you are actually very close to central Umzinto.
The family bathroom on the same level has a basin, shower, and toilet.
Outer doors lead to 2 balconies also with lovely views.
The ground floor living area with a comfortably sized carpeted Lounge, a spacious entrance hall, dining room and study. Most windows have vertical blinds, eliminating the need to hang curtains.
Mom’s kitchen is fully fitted with double eye-level electric ovens, a 4-plate electric hob and extractor and lovely granite tops.
A separate scullery offers Dad a little privacy when he’s doing the dishes.
Off the kitchen is another covered patio overlooking the rear garden that has a garden shed that needs a little TLC, and lots of space to plant some fruit trees and establish a quiet oasis for the family to relax.
The basement offers current servant quarters with bathroom, but will easily convert to a teen pad or income-generating accommodation, or a granny flat for aging parents.
Named after the Mzinto River, Umzinto is located on the Umdoni Coast in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
The Umzinto River is so named because of its destructive nature during floods.
Planters and millers started growing cane on the hilly terrain around the Mzinto River from around 1857. A year later, the first public sugar company started up in the area. Sadly, 7 years later the mill was struck by lightning which lead to total bankruptcy.
Today however, Umzinto remains a busy town with a mixture of colonial and Indian architecture.
